As usual, no CitiBikes at the West 54th St. and 9th Ave. station.

West 54th St and 9th Ave. CitiBike Station Has Become a Motor Vehicle Parking Lot

Due to the perpetual lack of CitiBikes at the West 54th and 9th Station, and missing white barriers, drivers have commandeered the space to park their motor vehicles.  If CitiBike members can't get any use out of this station, drivers may as well, right?

Saturday noon and even with rain in the morning, the West 54th and 9th Ave. station has no usable CitiBikes.

Friday, May 23 at 10am: 6 Red Light CitiBikes at 8th Ave. & 52nd St.

At the tail end of morning rush, 6 red light specials on 8th Ave. and 52nd. St.

Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30am: No CitiBikes at West 54th and 9th

As usual, no CitiBikes at this location, even after the morning rush.

Wednesday, May 12 at 10:30pm: 11 Adjacent CitiBike Stations in Hell's Kitchen to Central Park Empty

Must be the nice weather but there are 11 - count'em, 11 - CitiBike stations without any bikes in the Hell's Kitchen area through to Central Park South.

Does anyone at CitiBike care?

Wednesday, May 12 at 9:50am: Again, no CitiBikes at 54/9, 52/9, 52/8 or 53/10

Again, there are no CitiBikes at 54/9, 52/9, 52/8 or 53/10 and only a single bike on 49th St.  Will it still be there if I run to the station?

No CitiBikes in the the 52nd St - 54th St. area between 8th and 9th Ave.

Tuesday, May 6 at 9:40am: No CitiBikes at 54th and 9th as well as 52nd and 9th

Because the 52nd and 8th station was down last night, the neighboring stations - 52nd and 9th as well as 54th and 9th - got an influx of bikes.  But the bounty didn't last as this morning by 9:40am, there were no CitiBikes at either station.

West 52nd St. & 8th Ave Station Kaput; Boon for 52nd & 9th and 52th and 9th

Monday, May 5 at 7:10pm: The W52nd St. & 8th Ave. station is down. It's not releasing any CitiBikes and the few open docks are broken and not accepting bikes.  (Warning: if you are at this station and find a working dock, you should call CitiBike to make sure your trip is closed.  There is a chronic problem with bikes parked here not being registered in the system as being docked.  Hopefully when the station is repaired this problem will be resolved.)

It's a sad state of affairs that it takes a station failure to populate the 52nd & 9th and 54th & 9th stations as people who can't dock on 8th Ave. are being forced to dock on 9th.
